JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Stewardship Officer works closely with the gift officers within the Office of Foundation Relations and is responsible for the oversight and management of its stewardship program; provides oversight and management for marketing and communications efforts, special events, and programming related stewardship program.

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of all aspects of the stewardship program for assigned college or campus
  • Engage in marketing and communications efforts related to stewardship program; may include writing for print and on-line publications
  • Participate in the strategic and long-range planning for new initiatives and programs designed to enhance stewardship activities of assigned college or campus
  • Provide professional guidance and leadership to volunteers and other staff in order to develop and execute strategies and programs
  • Work collaboratively with partners to maximize stewardship success for the University
  • Work to engage University partners and community in stewardship activities
  • Communicate stewardship objectives and the associated responsibilities to unit director and other internal and external leaders
  • Plan and coordinate the nomination and selection process for various alumni association awards
  • Initiate, plan, and manage college programs and special events both on and off campus for the assigned college or campus
  • May hire, supervise, train, and direct the work of assigned staff

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and one year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
