The STEM Mobile Biofabrication Integrated Lab Experience (STEM-MoBILE) and Manchester CREATES are two initiatives which work closely together and are funded under the EDA Build Back Better (BBB) Regional Challenge Grant.
The STEM-MoBILE delivers biofabrication-focused learning activities to New Hampshire and the surrounding community with the goal of inspiring youth to consider careers in biofabrication. The STEM-MoBILE offers school visits, after-school programs, homeschool groups, and other types of visits, and aligns all its protocols with the Next Gen Science Standards to better integrate into school curriculum.
The STEM-MoBILE Project Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for the development and delivery of STEM and biofabrication focused learning activities for the STEM Mobile Biotechnology Integrated Lab Experience (STEM-MoBILE). Primary responsibilities include curriculum development and revision, program instruction and training, and materials management. The STEM-MoBILE Project Coordinator also trains, supervises, and collaborates with instructors and other staff who teach programs.
Duties/Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery (60%):
Work with outreach team to coordinate biofabrication and related STEM activities to develop into appropriate modules for the STEM-MoBILE
Ensure curriculum content is engaging, student-centered, inquiry-based, scientifically accurate, and age-appropriate.
Engage and cooperate with outreach partners to develop outreach plan for deployment of STEM-MoBILE and activities.
Plan and coordinate instructor training and related professional development workshops.
Document student attendance, and any related survey or data collection.
Provide written progress reports and attend project meetings to assess program goals and needs.
Establish a safe, healthy, supportive, and collaborative learning environment for students and co-instructors.
Maintain knowledge of the evolving field of biofabrication and related STEM education to integrate during the project time to modify and create further hands-on and inquiry-based education.

Program Coordination (40%):
Coordinate program logistics at each STEM-MoBILE location or school, while fostering working relationships with location staff, school administration, teachers, and parents.
Recruit, hire, and collaborate with part-time instructors.
Create, purchase, develop, and maintain detailed inventory and organizational system for all materials, equipment, supplies, and lesson plans.
Aid in the marketing to build program awareness through social media, web, and print materials in partnership.
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education or STEM-Related Field
Curriculum design and development experience
Formal or informal teaching experience
Required Licenses & Certifications:
NH Driver’s License
