Job Summary
Provide oversight of EPC vendor activities related to Radiation Protection during the replacement of the Beaver Valley U2 steam generators, ensuring compliance with all Radiation Protection standards, NRC regulations, and Vistra procedures. Lead coordination and supervision efforts to support adherence to radiation safety protocols, ALARA, and project performance goals.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise and coach Radiation Protection First Line Supervisors
- Provide oversight for Chemistry specialist assigned to the S/G replacement as needed
- Ensure project personnel conform to station procedures, policies and expectations
- Coordinate activities with station Radiation Protection to resolve potential conflicts in work activities
- Ensure that Radiation Protection personnel brought in by Vendors are trained and qualified per NRC guidelines and station requirements
- Review and approve all vendor policies and procedures outside of Station Procedures if applicable
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial nuclear power radiation protection
- Minimum 2 years as Radiation Protection first line supervisor or above
- Meet the ANSI 18.1 Radiation Protection requirements
- Experience in large scale nuclear project RP coverage preferred
