Job Duties

Serves as Staffing Coordinator for Department of Nursing by performing a variety of responsibilities such as maintaining and updating schedules, calendars, and performing clerical duties to fulfill the need of the department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of special populations and hospitals; ability to work either under close supervision or independently, to follow verbal and written instructions; skills in typing, filing, and possession of legible handwriting. Ability to operate a computer, copy machine, and other office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and outside staffing agencies verbally and in writing.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in addressing staffing shortages, shift swaps, call-offs, and coverage planning in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to adjust schedules and respond to staffing emergencies, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive personnel information.

Additional Considerations

Scheduling experience in a hospital setting.

Knowledge of KRONOS/UKG software.
