Job Description

This role will be based in New York, Sunnyvale or San Francisco.

We’re looking for a Staff Visual Designer who has experience developing best-in-class consumer digital products. You will partner and collaborate closely with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, design systems, and other creative specialists. Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross functional teams to evolve the visual language of LinkedIn’s products to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world of work

  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centered design process

  • Clearly communicate strategic thinking and design decisions to a variety of partners

  • Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements

  • Collaborate daily with peers in every discipline, including engineering, content, research, marketing and product, to to deliver final products that are scalable, cohesive, and inspiring

  • Deliver high-craft work on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing the correct level of effort and investment relative to product development maturity

  • To be considered for this position, you must include your portfolio, website or other samples of work.  Portfolio exhibits conceptual experience, a proven understanding of design best practices, interactive experience, technical skills and craftsmanship

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications

  • 7+ years of experience in brand design, user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, media, web or agency)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, experience in integrating emerging technologies into your practices

  • Ability to deliver projects independently and/or owning components of larger projects

  • Ability to influence decisions on assigned projects by actively engaging and adding value in team discussions 

  • Ability to create solutions that consider end-to-end user flows and impacts on adjacent experiences

  • Identifies opportunities to extend and evolve the L
