Summary:

Anaconda is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

What You'll Do:

• Design scalable, secure systems that support the Anaconda ecosystem (e.g., package repositories, cloud platforms, developer tools)
• Set and enforce engineering best practices across the team (code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation)
• Lead architectural decisions for new products or platform enhancements—e.g., microservices architecture, API design, or package management infrastructure.
• Serve as a technical mentor, helping guide mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions
• Collaborate on internal tooling that helps Anaconda users manage environments, dependencies, or ML/AI workflows

What You Need:

• Strong programming skills in relevant languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, etc.)
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems design
• Ability to break down complex problems and propose clear, efficient solutions
• Proficiency with relevant frameworks, tools, or platforms (e.g., React, Django, Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, etc.)

The base salary range for this role is $149,000- $258,625, along with annual bonus potential, equity participation, and benefits.
