Under the direction of the Principal Investigator in the Department of Radiology, the Research Associate will play a key role in advancing innovative research in medical imaging technology. This position involves testing and evaluating novel algorithms, coordinating software testing, and contributing to the collection, maintenance, and analysis of experimental data.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to apply scientific and technical skills to help assess system design, performance, and reliability in support of ongoing research initiatives.

Salary: $26.52 – $31.63 hourly

May convert to career, subject to annual renewal.

Required:

• Basic computer programing knowledge and mathematical background
  
• Demonstrated skill in problem solving, prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and efficient manner
  
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction to communicate diplomatically and effectively with peers, researchers, and University faculty and staff.
  
• Ability to function as a team member yet still able to work independently.
  

Preferred: 

• Experience and working knowledge of various workstations (e.g.. Freesurfer, FSL, Linux, MATLAB, AFNI, SPM, Vital Images, Osirix, Visage, Siemens Syngo) to process and generate high quality multimodal images.
  
• BS degree in mathematical related discipline or equivalent education, training and experience
