About the role

Kinship and Science & Diagnostics are divisions of Mars Petcare—and are dedicated to one purpose: creating A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS™. Through comprehensive veterinary care, nutrition, breakthrough programs in diagnostics, wearable health monitoring, DNA testing and pet welfare, our 100,000 Petcare Associates help pets in more than 130 countries.

OUR PRODUCT TEAM

The Product Team at Kinship is at the forefront of digital services and platforms for millennial pet parents. We’re product managers, designers, and researchers driving true innovation in the pet world through the development of platforms that benefit consumers and their pets. We’re an experienced team backed by a global leader and focused on the future of pet care. Our team is a mission-driven, dedicated group committed to bringing everyone closer to their pet and making that experience about ease and joy.

HOW YOU’LL TRANSFORM THE EXPERIENCE OF PET PARENTHOOD

The Wildest is the destination for relevant pet care content and serves as a cultural hub that covers the 360-degree experience of being a Millennial or Gen Z pet parent. On The Wildest’s second birthday in May 2023, it hit 1 million subscribers. The Wildest plays a central role in the Kinship ecosystem both as an offering directly to pet parents and as an underlying technology for the rest of Kinship.

The Wildest sits alongside Adopt-a-Pet and The Kin. These three brands work together and acquire new pet parents and provide invaluable services such as expert guidance, tailored content and medical record organization. The technology that drives the content for The Wildest is the same content stack that powers Adopt-a-Pet and The Kin.

As Staff Product Manager, you will own both the development of The Wildest as well as the content stack that powers all three offerings. This will mean developing deep empathy for new and existing pet parents, building features that engage and educate them, and building technology that efficiently serves the content needs across all three products. Additionally, being a lean, flat Product Management team, you will have some generalist responsibilities across the team as well. This role works closely with functions across Kinship including engineering, design, other product management Verticals, Marketing, Customer Experience and Creative and will frequently engage with cross-functional executive leadership.

As the Staff Product Manager you will report to the Chief Product Officer.

  • When needed, willingness to roll up sleeves and produce requirements as the team grows
