About the JobHealthcare.com seeks a talented and motivated Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join our team. As an Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you will be critical in designing, implementing, and managing our infrastructure platform to support our organization's technology needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain robust, scalable, and secure software development tools that enable the delivery of our software applications. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization.
On the Platform team, you’ll have the opportunity to create complex tools to enable developers to do their day to day without knowing all the nasty details such as networking, Cloud instances, and container orchestration, while using your expertise in coding, and algorithms, to apply software engineering principles to software development problems.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).- 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, Senior Software Engineer, or in a similar role, with a strong software development and operations background.- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or AWS ECS.- Experience with Unix/Linux systems, IP networking, performance, and application issues.- Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.- Familiarity with IAC tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.- Extensive experience with cloud technologies. AWS preferred.- Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery tools like Jenkins, Github actions, or CircleCI.- Familiarity with monitoring and log aggregation tools like Prometheus, ELK Stack, or Splunk.- Knowledge of database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams- Experience in troubleshooting and debugging of distributed systems.- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable tools that allow developers to independently set up the infrastructure to run their applications and services.- Work with code to create tools to enable self-service and ownership for our development team.- Provide a compelling internal solution to accelerate the delivery of healthcare.com applications and create a lean development process.- Design reliable infrastructure and cloud-based solutions that could be used as patterns for healthcare.com applications. - Help the team to build a sustainable platform that is self-healing, manages dependencies well, and detects issues and problems.- Work in creating tools for complex software development problems such as cost management, ownership, RBAC, Refactoring, or adding services and dependencies.
