Your Team

The Solutions Team is an emerging team at Oxa that is a unique blend of technical and commercial problem solvers. Together they have experience in deploying robotic systems in the field and supporting clients with their solutions. Members of the team have the opportunity to be versatile in their roles, spanning from writing proficient code to white boarding with customers to find the best solution.

The Solutions Team identifies and develops tools required for delivering successful outcomes, striving to understand all parts of the system to a level in which they can relay to their customer demographic.

Members of the Solutions Team are a dynamic and engaged group of people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, all working together towards our goal of Universal Autonomy with an obsessive customer focus.

As a Staff Engineer, you will be given technical ownership of a pivotal program to develop customer solutions for a key client, managing the coordination, direction and output of a field based team.

This is a fast-paced, reactive role that will provide exposure across all areas of our architecture, requiring an experienced technical leader that also implements and delivers.



Your Role

  • Deliver milestones of the technical roadmap and provide end-to-end delivery of solutions for key customer groups across a regional domain.
  • Accountable for the creation and maintenance of documentation related to the integration, testing, issue tracking and updates to software systems, APIs and decision flows with the Oxa software stack.
  • Responsible for delivering solutions to customers from requirement collection through to integration and delivery
  • Manage the coordination, drive and facilitation of meetings with the technical and field-based team to ensure efficient output 
  • Responsible for identifying and addressing performance-related issues that impede commercial deployment of systems.
  • Maintaining a dashboard and regular report on KPIs that are managed by the team.
  • Continually collaborating with team members, suggesting and discussing high-level approaches to solve problems, code reviews & pair programming.
  • Responsible for contributing to sprint cycles so as to bring in sprint activity on time, including planning, reviewing, and highlighting risk or scope creep against project requirements.

Requirements

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s / MASc degree or equivalent experience in computer science or robotics
  • Extensive experience in technical leadership, also able to collaborate with non-technical teams
  • A solid background in Robotics, including both Hardware and Software exposure 
  • A foundation knowledge of coding languages C++ and Python
  • Demonstrated experience in development / delivery of robotics systems
  • The ability to lead and direct teams in multiple locations across different time zones

Extra kudos if you have:

  • Previous hands on software development experience 
  • Experience of working within the Autonomous Vehicle industry
  • Platform hardware and software configuration and integration experience
