Location:
This role can be hybrid or remote. If based in any of our office locations within the US, the hybrid schedule globally is two days worked remotely (Monday and Friday) and three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
This role can be remote in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MI, MT, NE, NJ, NY, NC, OK, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA. We prefer this role to be in the Eastern timezone.
In this role you will:
Implement low latency high-performance solutions, mostly using Rust or Go but willing to work in whatever language is required
Support solutions across the development lifecycle
Work in a collaborative style across multiple teams to deliver high-quality results quickly
Quickly get familiarized with Rust (if required) to in turn help mentor and support other engineers who might struggle with systems-language-level concepts
Have a large say in the design and implementation of relatively new services, and brainstorm how to bring better solutions to more teams/projects across Magnite
Build proofs-of-concept to demonstrate potential performance or design improvements, and adapt them to enterprise-grade solutions
We’re looking for someone with:
Very strong systems-language-level expertise, preferably Rust and Go but C++ or C are also acceptable
A strong understanding of RAII, object lifetimes, memory management, and other low-level concepts, even when using high-level abstractions over those concepts
Strong foundations in data structures and algorithms
Proven ability to analyze designs and code to identify optimizations and alternatives to better solve problems
Energy: self-starters and motivated, preferring quick proofs-of-concept and experiments
Strong coding practices - bringing code from a PoC into an enterprise solution
Strong communication and collaboration skills
An ability to work in a geographically distributed team

The base salary range for this position, across all United States geographies, is $175,000 - $205,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time.
