Staff Dev Ops Engineer

• Conduct security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks across applications, infrastructure, and networks.
• Administer and optimize Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies for robust protection and high performance.
• Utilize code scanning and application security tools to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and compliance.
• Lead or participate in security incident response, implementing improvements to minimize future risks.
• Explore AI security practices to enhance threat detection and proactive security measures.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance for professional development.
• Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure our systems are protected.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align security measures with business goals.
• Document security processes and procedures to maintain a high standard of security practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in DevSecOps, application security, or cloud security roles.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai WAF or similar web application firewall platforms.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security principles, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with security tools like IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• Understanding of AI technologies and their security applications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for independent troubleshooting.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CISSP) are preferred.
• Experience integrating security into DevOps and CI/CD workflows is an asset.
