Staff Accountant

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. 

 

Summary:

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will support the Finance Director and Controller.  This position is not a remote position but on-site at the plant facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists controller with the monthly close.
• Maintains the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedule.
• Prepares general ledger entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclasses.
• Prepares recurring balance sheet reconciliations and performs analyses on related accounts.
• Provides backup to A/R and A/P functions.
• Assists with various reporting requirements.
• Performs financial analysis and research as necessary.
• Performs ad-hoc assignments.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, is preferred.
• 1-3 years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work well in collaborative group environments.
