What You Will Get To Do:
Sr. Systems Engineers perform complex technical analysis of application and database systems.
They assist in the evaluation of applications and technology for current and future implementation.
They monitor and control the performance and status of applications. They provide highly skilled technical assistance in application, engineering, and architecture. They identify and diagnose complex application problems and factors affecting performance.
Sr. Systems Engineers function in a lead role for longer-term, larger-scale projects. They develop technical standards and provide resolution for complex application problems. Sr. Systems Engineers are seasoned, experienced associates who possess in-depth knowledge in software administration activities and demonstrate high-level skills with extensive proficiency.
They use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. They function as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may direct the work of other staff members.
We are looking for a motivated Sr. Systems Engineer with strong analysis skills to independently support Middleware and Back-End Applications running on Linux and Oracle.
The engineer will work with clients, client advocates, professional services, TI Infrastructure Server Support and DBA teams to maintain our in-house Chorus BPM application. The engineer will manage the execution activities for all change requests and break fix incidents; including application upgrades, code/configuration/integration SQL changes, and develop automation through complex scripts.
The application support includes handling issue escalations, synopsis/root cause analysis and lessons learned. The engineer will provide complete documentation of process & procedures, service ticket completion, and change control requests.
The engineer will participate in 24 x 7 on call delivery support as part of a scheduled rotation with other team members
Day to Day support and maintenance of 24x7 in-house Chorus BPM client hosted application and database; including change, break fix operations and root cause analysis
Collaborate closely with our business, client teams, and clients to support the application and database platforms; in a highly remote work environment
Ability to work in a fast pace, complex, and changing environment with real-time problem solving
Perform after hours / weekend work requests and break fix resolution
Participate in the team on-call rotation supporting the Chorus BPM Application for hosted clients
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or high school degree and 5 years of related experience.
