We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr Subcontract Manager who will be responsible for leading procurement activities associated with the Energetics & Propulsion Commodity team.  In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for the overall procurement activities supporting the Raytheon business unit.  You will work very closely with external suppliers as well with internal customers and functional areas.  You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs across multiple Mission Areas.

What You Will Do:

  • Preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations/Proposals
  • Perform price and cost analysis and lead formal negotiations, Price, delivery, scope, Terms & Conditions.
  • Place subcontracts/purchase orders and associated change orders
  • Issue and conflict resolution of medium/high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements for various subcontract types (Cost Types, Firm Fixed price, Time & Materials)
  • Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to achieve objectives
  • Nurture professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors
  • Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for gate reviews.
  • Ability to travel as required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a  University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Previous Aerospace & Defense experience
  • Previous subcontract management or procurement activities
  • Prism for Supply Chain
  • Previous experience using Common PDN
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR

Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
