The Department of the Army Intelligence Information Services (DAIIS) provides the Army Intelligence and Security Enterprise (AISE) and its Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational partners a means to discover, access, and share relevant intelligence reporting and information across unclassified, secret, top secret, and multinational fabrics. DAIIS delivers 24 x 7 solutions and services fulfilling requirements for intelligence information and data brokering, information sharing and dissemination, cross domain solutions, entitlements and access solutions, Intelligence Community / Defense Messaging, and intelligence production requirements management. Our team will provide Automation, Logistics, Requirements, and SharePoint site collection management support to DAIIS with software and application development, administration, and web services in support of DoD, the Intelligence Community and Coalition Partners. This includes system administration, database administration, web/software operation and maintenance, logistics support, and operations and sustainment support.
 
What is the position? 
The Senior Software Engineer/Quality Assurance Analyst, conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research and collaborates with customers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems software. Performs and leads tests of software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. May create test data for applications. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Acts as information resource about assigned areas to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts. Performs complex workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements. *This position is contingent upon contract award*
  
What will I get to do?  
You will develop test plans based on product backlog items outlining testing strategy and approach, necessary resources, and schedule to DAIIS software applications and systems within an agile development environment. You will define acceptance criteria for each backlog item for use in evaluating the readiness of backlog items for testing and deployment. You will participate in sprint planning meetings and daily scrum/stand-up meetings providing updates to team providing feedback on the quality of the software. You will conduct quality assurance assessments of all new and modified application feature enhancements, web applications, APIs, and web services. You will maintain DAIIS Quality Assurance branch documentation to include test plans, TTPs, SOPs, and other required documents as directed by the Government. All documentation shall be stored on DAIIS Automation SharePoint portals on NIPR and SIPR. You will collaborate with DAIIS DevSecOps team and customers ensuring internal and user acceptance testing is conducted and detailed results captured and recorded in Azure Dev Ops. You will research and incorporate approved automated testing tools to assist with streamlining functionality and regression testing. You will work with developers and staff to ensure changes are implemented based upon customer requirements and quality improvements identified by testers, other developers, or staff. You will apply common testing principles to changes and new development for applications and websites. You will test automation software programs by setting up test trials and preconditions to examine product functionality, content, and user friendliness. You will simulate product performance, evaluate results, and compare results with predicted outcomes. You will participate in tests and release readiness reviews. You will use DAIIS Master Templates for recording / reporting all test results. You will create and maintain a master repository for all testing documentation. You will produce findings reports based on received test plans. You will evaluate, test, and validate software development projects.
