We are currently seeking a Sr Software Engineer to join our engineering team. RentSpree is the leading provider of rental software in the U.S. that helps connect renters, real estate agents, and landlords to simplify the entire rental process, from listing to lease. RentSpree is at the forefront of the rental wave and we need your help to build something great.
Responsibilities:

• Be part of a fast moving agile team, delivering products in a continuous delivery environment.
• Work with other senior engineers to continually drive for simplification of the technology landscape at RentSpree.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and marketing, to execute the product roadmap.
• Perform maintenance and optimization of existing systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Perform code reviews, mentor other engineers, perform incident retrospectives, and participate in a culture of shared learning.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform decision-making and technology adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• Full-Stack Experience.
• Strong technical skills in modern programming languages and frameworks including:
  • Javascript or TypeScript using React on Node.
  • Kotlin or Java using Spring Boot
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases; especially document databases like MongoDB and SQL based databases like PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and architectures.
• Familiarity with service oriented architectures, microservices, and APIs.
• Experience in building scalable, high-availability systems, with a focus on simplicity and security.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• This is a full-time position in Seattle, WA.

• Compensation: $160,000-$200,000 + Equity (ESOP)
