Job Description Summary:

Looking for a machine learning engineer to build efficient, data-driven artificial intelligence platforms that advance PayPal Common platform AI solution capabilities. The candidate should be highly skilled in computer science, data science and programming, with the ability to confidently assess, analyze, and organize large amounts of data. The candidate should also be able to build ML pipeline and services.

Job Description:

Objectives of this role

• Design and develop machine learning End to End platform for PayPal Common Platform
• Solve complex problems with multilayered data sets, and optimize existing data pipeline and machine learning systems
• Collaborate with data scientists, product manager, platform analysts, architects on production AI solution systems and applications with NLP, Generative AI.
• Build real-time and offline model evaluation pipeline.
• Stay up to date with developments in the machine learning engineering industry

Responsibilities

• Study and transform data science prototypes and apply appropriate machine learning algorithms and tools 
• Run machine learning tests and experiments, and document findings and results 
• Construct optimized data pipelines to feed machine learning models
• Consult with managers to determine and refine machine learning objectives 
• Extend existing machine learning libraries and frameworks 
• Build End to End Machine learning monitoring and evaluation pipeline

Skills and qualifications

• Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Extensive computer skills, with a deep understanding of probability, data structures, data modeling, algorithm and software architecture 
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Desire to learn

Preferred qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine learning engineer or similar role 
• Excellence programming skills with Python, Java. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Innovative mind with a passion for continuous learning 
• General knowledge of building machine learning end to end systems 
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
