Sr Software Engineer / Active Top Secret clearance

Currently, Peraton is looking for a Sr Software Developer for its' Federal Strategic Cyber program located in Arlington, VA.  

  

Location: This will be a predominantly remote role, but the ability to come onsite as needed is a requirement for this role. On-site location: Arlington, VA. 

  

In this role, you will:   

• Create secure software tools and systems with a team of developers 
• Provide engineering designs for new software solutions 
• Take a lead in software design, implementation, and testing 
• Develop a software security strategy 
• Implement, test, and operate advanced software security techniques 
• Facilitate meetings to define user needs 
• Participate in the lifecycle development of software systems 
• Design and build prototype solutions 
• Have knowledge of attack vectors that may be used to exploit software 
• Perform on-going security testing for software vulnerabilities 
• Consult team members on secure programming practices 
• Research and identify application flaws 
• Remedy development mistakes 
• Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise 
• Maintain technical documentation

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 8-10 years of relevant security software development experience, or a Master's degree and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 
• Proficiency in Python 
• REST APIs, SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB preferred), Java, CI/CD experience 
• Security tools (threat modeling, static analysis, dynamic analysis, software composition analysis, etc.) experience 
• Experience in any of the following: 
  • PHP 
  • JavaScript 
  • React 
  • Vue.js 
  • Node.js 
  • jQuery 
  • Angular 
  • Go would be a plus 
• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. 
  • Additionally, must be able to be approved for an agency level clearance (DHS EOD).

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
