Sr QA Analyst

This role is hybrid, 2 days in the office.

We are not able to support employment from outside the area.

The Senior QA Analyst is the subject matter expert (SME) on applications they work on within the bigger Integration team. Candidate collaborates with Business Analysts, Product Owners,  Software Engineers across Value chains and Products within CME Product Model.  The Senior QA must have good written and verbal communication skills. Independently does planning, test execution and delivers quality projects while ensuring compliance with the SDLC. Works with Engineering teams, SREs across with internal and external customers to get things done with minimal oversight.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Integration Testing of End to End (multiple) applications and messaging protocols.

• Identify test scope, estimation, and scenarios for projects. Identify project risks and implement process changes and efficiencies.

• Hands-on application deployments, configuration setup and troubleshoot Integration test environment issues on-prem and GCP. Keeping the test environment healthy for Project testing and Automation.

• Identify efficiency opportunities while also exploring innovation and means of implementing new technology/processes.

• Hands on Automation Frameworks like Robot Framework that includes writing new automation scenarios.

• Provide suggestions with new ideas of automation.

• Learn and provide recommendations and requirements for automation frameworks.

• Aptitude to perform End to End Integration testing that involves multiple applications and complex messaging protocols across Globex, Clearing systems.

• Expertly handle backend testing of applications, APIs and messaging and creating automation scripts for End to End testing and Environment stability. 

• Handle responsibilities and multiple assignments with minimal oversight. Be an Independent learner.

• Create and maintain test artifacts and facilitate artifact reviews. Interface and communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders independently.

Qualifications:

• Candidates with prior knowledge of trading platforms, post trade concepts are a big plus. 

• Experience with backend financial messaging protocol(s) used in CME Trading Platform to perform End to End Integration testing is a big plus.

• Aptitude of troubleshooting large numbers of applications and Integration points.

• Experience with test automation as well as manual testing. Identify and Implement newer ways of automation.

• Good Understanding of test automation framework(s) like Cucumber or Robot for end to end application testing.

• Good problem determination skills that help lead to problem resolution. Support/guide others team members in testing, environment maintenance and automation.

• Good to have experience with Cloud (GCP) Application monitoring and health 

• Experienced with SQL and Linux/UNIX and programming languages like Java/Python.

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems

• Experience: 5 years of progressively more demanding work experience that relates to the senior position.

• Candidates must demonstrate a successful testing career progression.

• Financial industry experience is a plus.
