What this job involves –  
 

This position is responsible for managing construction cost budgets, developing and executing contracts, and enhancing cost control processes for various construction projects, including office renovations, furniture purchases, and relocations. The role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery and cost-effective solutions.
 

What is your day to day?   

• Reviewing and developing construction cost budgets for various project stages
• Comparing budget costs to benchmarks and assisting in value engineering
• Creating and executing contracts based on full scope projects
• Compiling and managing project unit pricing and labor rates
• Enhancing cost control processes and improving overall service delivery
• Supporting the development of customer historical cost benchmarks
• Performing PWMeb functions including estimating, funding submissions, and project close-outs
• Participating in client communication and project management activities
• Tracking and managing financial aspects of projects, including labor reports and sales tax exemptions

Desired experience and technical skills   
 

Required  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Management with understanding of CSI trade costs
• Strong working knowledge of architectural & engineering drawings, furniture, and space planning concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred  

• Experience in Construction Management or Real Estate
• Knowledge of specialized software such as RS Means, Onscreen Center, OneDrive, SharePoint, and PMWe
• Demonstrated ability to support Business Development initiatives
• Experience in communicating with executives and diverse project stakeholders
• Practical drawing/test fit review skills

Estimated total compensation for this position:

80,000.00 – 100,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
