Your Impact

The Senior Program Manager for People Operations PMO plays a critical role in maintaining and optimizing an established Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the smooth execution of People Operations initiatives. In this role, you will oversee multiple cross-functional HR projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and the successful execution of these initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, enhance project management processes, and drive continuous improvement in the delivery of HR programs globally.

What You’ll Do 

  • Location: Scottsdale, Seattle or Boston Offices
    Reports to: Sr Program Manager II, People Operations PMO

    Our Team Size: Individual Contributor on a Global team of 75+
    • PMO Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the People Ops PMO, ensuring that processes and tools are effectively utilized across all HR projects and programs.
    • Manage Complex HR Projects: Oversee sophisticated, cross-organizational HR initiatives, ensuring they align with global and regional considerations, business goals, and strategic priorities.
    • Project Tracking and Risk Management: Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and identify risks, developing effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR leadership, business units, and key stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment, and successful project adoption.
    • Tool and Methodology Standardization: Ensure the People Ops team is consistently using standardized project management tools (PPM Express) and methodologies, providing ongoing training and support as needed.
    • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead project teams, mentor junior program managers, and foster a high-performance, collaborative culture within the People Operations function.
    • Strategic Leadership: Provide thought leadership on project management, change management, and business transformation initiatives within People Operations.
    • Process Optimization: Continuously improve PMO operations by identifying opportunities for process refinement and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.
    • Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on the status of key projects, performance metrics, and the overall health of the PMO.
    Goals and Impact:
    • Partner with the PMO Program Manager to continue to implement and refine a standardized way of running projects and programs with the goal of increased awareness, transparency, and a stellar product at the end of all People Ops projects and programs.
    • Support the People Ops team with onboarding to streamlined, consistent PM tool across the team, and own making sure that people are trained and held accountable to using this tool.
    • Maintain visibility to all projects across People Ops and support effective stakeholder engagement and executive level communications regarding health of the portfolio.
    • Deliver multiple complex cross-functional projects simultaneously, utilizing standard PMO project management practices, while ensuring delivery is on-time, in-scope, and within budget.

What You Bring

  • 5-10 years of work experience with at least 2 years business-facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role-related experience
  • Proven success in managing and optimizing an established PMO.
  • Experience using multiple types of project management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A proven track record and advanced proficiency in change
