The Enterprise Portfolio and Program Management Office (EPPO) drives cross company transformation initiatives for Workday.  We are a high performing team of thought leaders who inspire new ways of thinking about business challenges and collaborate cross functionally to deliver optimal business outcomes as part of our program initiatives.

About the Role

those delivered together as a team, we want to talk to you! This role requires knowledge of all 

things change management and a desire to coach and guide cross-functional colleagues along the way. You will partner closely with business leads, program managers and other change managers in defining and implementing large, cross-organization transformation programs. These programs include strategic changes impacting organizations, systems, business processes, and job roles.

About You

This highly visible role will have extensive interaction across all levels and functions within Workday. We are looking for a leader who understands the value of structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation. Using change management methodologies, this role will be responsible for change assessments, impacts and gap analysis, communication and training plans, people-centered risk mitigation, and delivering measurable change adoption. The role will also help to design and lead cross-functional change teams on enterprise transformation programs.

Must be able to demonstrate skills within the following four capabilities that are critical to leading change management: 

Change Management:

  • Develop change management strategies and plans including an assessment of risk, readiness and resistance. 

  • Ensure sponsorship from leaders such as creating core principles for change initiatives. 

  • Systematically identify, plan, and implement actions designed to engage with stakeholders. 

    • Define the most effective training approach to educate and transfer knowledge/skills. 

    • Build and manage change networks of change champions to drive awareness, understanding, commitment and adoption for the change.

  • Communications:

    • Develop the communications strategy expressing the goals and methods for communicating changes along with the key messages and level of information needed for target audiences identified. 

    • Create overarching branding and a change campaign to coalesce support behind a change and appeal to the target audience. 

    • Develop clear and compelling content targeted to audiences. 

    • Assess the most effective communications channels and vehicles to convey key messages.

  • Collaboration:

    • Ensure alignment to a common goal and the scope of change. 

    • Articulate clear roles and responsibilities, and drive accountability. 

    • Enable structures for promoting engagement and ownership of the change.

    • Communicate and enforce a standard process for decision making. 

    • Leverage collaboration tools (e.g. Zoom, Slack) to collaborate and drive the change forward.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Determine the feedback and data collection mechanisms to measure adoption, satisfaction, and ongoing needs to achieve goals and objectives. 

    • Optimize processes and drive ongoing efficiencies. 

    • Define methods to sustain behaviors and reinforce the changes. 

    • Identify deviations from performance expectations and implement strategies for corrective action.
