Responsibilities:

• Firewall Policy Management:
  

• Create, modify, and optimize firewall policies and rules to enhance network security.
  
• Ensure alignment of firewall policies with organizational security and compliance requirements.
  

• Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  

• Continuously monitor network traffic and firewall logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
  
• Investigate and resolve firewall-related performance and connectivity issues.
  

• Security Best Practices:
  

• Stay informed of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and Palo Alto firewall best practices.
  
• Implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard network integrity.
  

• Documentation and Reporting:
  

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and network diagrams.
  
• Prepare reports on firewall performance, security incidents, and compliance.
  

• Collaboration:
  

• Work with network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure a unified security strategy.
  

• Upgrades and Patch Management:
  

• Plan and perform firmware updates, patches, and software upgrades on Palo Alto firewalls.
  
• Maintain an up-to-date and secure firewall infrastructure.
  

• Incident Response:
  

• Assist in incident response activities to address and mitigate firewall-related security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  

• Training and Knowledge Sharing:
  

• Stay current with Palo Alto Networks products and certifications.
  
• Provide training and share knowledge with team members on firewall technologies and practices.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Palo Alto Networks certification (e.g., PCNSE).
  
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
  
• Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
  
• Experience with network protocols, VPN configurations, and security policies.
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
