Sr. Manager, Reporting

Purpose: Responsible for leading Account Operations Reporting team in the delivery of innovative and sustainable reporting solutions to drive operational excellence, achieve sales and service targets, and align with strategic business priorities.

 

Key Accountabilities

• Apply broad and deep technical expertise to identify and evaluate best technical solutions available to satisfy Account Operations reporting needs
• Acquire broad and deep understanding of adidas data sources and environments across reporting landscape
• Implement innovative, consistent, standardized, and sustainable operational and dashboard reporting solutions leveraging technical expertise in SQL and BI tools to support business strategies and day-to-day business management of the orderbook across Account Operations
• Manage end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-faceted reporting projects leveraging project planning methodologies through all phases of the project including requirements definition, data source identification, front-end report design, back-end code development, communication, training, rollout, support, and governance.
• Support ad-hoc data requests for business-critical data internally within Account Operations, externally to support cross-functional stakeholders, and at senior leadership request when needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside of Account Operations to identify issues, challenge existing processes and non-governed data manipulation, explore opportunities, and propose solutions
• Develop strong relationships and partner with data experts and reporting colleagues on cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, integrity, and alignment across the organization
• Influence internal and cross-functional stakeholders to implement automated and standardized solutions
• Provide team direction, prioritize team workload, manage project timelines/deliverables, and set cross- functional stakeholder expectations
• Drive reporting synergies and share best practices within the broader NAM Wholesale organization.
• Ensure on time delivery of business-critical data; identify, action, and resolve issues; implement solutions to prevent future occurrences
• Establish change control processes to ensure code optimization and stabilization
• Identify training opportunities and upskill team members on technical skills in preparation for implementation of new data environments and reporting platforms
• Coach, mentor, and support team members through on the job training and development of technical skills
• Ensure technical and training documentation is completed for all reporting deliverables.

 

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Technical expertise of relational database systems and data architecture
• Technical expertise of BI reporting platforms and visualization tools
• Ability to collaborate, consult, and communicate with business partners and stakeholders at all levels of the organization including senior leadership
• Strong organizational, presentation, and project management skills
• MS Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, Sharepoint)
• Advanced Technical Skills: SQL, Power Platform, Azur, BI Tools (Power BI)
• SAP knowledge preferred
• Experience in sporting goods or retail industry with focus on supply chain mechanics and flow of goods from sourcing to customer

 

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or another relevant field. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role
• Minimum of 0-2 years people management experience
