General Summary:
The Sr. Manager of Quality Engineering is responsible for leading a global team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on creating and maintaining automated tests from manual test scripts and test cases. This role supports day-to-day operations to ensure all test plans are maintained and the automation and architecture of test plans are fully functioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
- Manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments
- Influences others outside of their own job regarding policies, practices, and procedures
- Contributes to policy and strategy implementation for short-term results
- Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
- Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
- Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
- Defines and drives IT quality assurance practices and procedures
- Reviews and analyzes discrepancies in service or performance and recommends updates for products or services
- Oversees test schedules and/or strategies in accordance with project scopes and delivery dates
- Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness and to mitigate risks
- Provides feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
- Identifies program deviance from standards and suggests modifications to ensure compliance
- Develops and specifies standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
- Serves as advanced escalation point for complex reproducing, debugging, and isolating of software problems

- Familiarity with object-oriented programming language

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to meet reasonable deadlines
- Knowledge of programming concep
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- 3+ years of managerial experience
Working Conditions:
- Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
- 0-10% travel may be required
