About the Team
You will be joining the newly formed AI, Data & Analytics team, primarily responsible as a Product Owner for API Hub and several applications. The new team is focused on driving increased value from the data InvestCloud captures to enable a smarter financial future for our clients, in particular focused on “enhanced intelligence”. Ensuring we have fit-for-purpose modern capabilities is a key goal for the team.

About the Role
As the API Hub Product Owner you will bring a strong technical background and will drive the vision and execution of our API Hub product and the journey to a strategic API Gateway (fully modern platform). Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, you will ensure our APIs meet customer needs, drive growth, and maintain our leadership position in the fintech industry.,

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their technical requirements and translate them into actionable measures.

• Identify and address product gaps, enhancing customer experience and market fit.

• Responsible for leading, coaching and developing team to be high performing. Manages hiring, firing, performance management and on going development.

• Will this role do any testing or debugging?

• Define and maintain a cohesive product vision aligned with strategic goals.

• Work closely with front-end and back-end engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to ensure seamless integration and smooth functionality across all systems.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value.

• Oversee the entire product creation process.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in API design and development, incorporating best practices and new technologies as appropriate.

• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to optimize API responses, reduce latency, and enhance the overall user experience.

• Define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including Scrum meetings and sprints.

Skills and Qualifications

•  Technical Expertise: Strong, hands-on understanding of APIs, software development, and web technologies.
•  Leadership: Proven track record in leading and continually developing a high performing team.
•  Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
•  Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex ideas simply.
•  Collaboration: Skilled at facilitating productive discussions and resolving conflicts.
•  Adaptability: Comfortable with a dynamic environment and willing to roll up sleeves when needed.
•  Proven experience building and managing a high performing team.
•  Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fields
•  8+ years experience in API engineering/ or related roles.
•  Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management.
•  Experience with software languages, databases, and design principles?
•  Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, particularly under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

•  Experience in customer engagement and advocacy.
•  Familiarity with the fintech industry or APIs is a plus
