About the Role...
Under the direction of the Director of Program Management, the Sr. Manager, Portfolio Management is responsible for leading the enterprise IT portfolio management function. This role ensures that programs and projects are aligned to strategic business objectives, governed effectively, and delivered with consistency, quality, and transparency.
You will play a critical leadership role in shaping portfolio processes, driving prioritization, and enabling visibility into portfolio health across the organization. This role requires a hands-on leader who can influence at all levels, proactively manage interdependencies, and establish best practices that elevate execution across a complex IT landscape.

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

Lead the planning, prioritization, and governance of the enterprise IT portfolio

Establish and continuously improve portfolio management processes, standards, and reporting

Ensure alignment of programs and projects with business strategy and organizational goals

Provide executive-level visibility into portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
Execution Oversight & Delivery Excellence

Oversee a broad portfolio of IT initiatives including SaaS, infrastructure, networking, and security projects
-
Identify and proactively manage cross-project dependencies, risks, and resource constraints
-
Ensure consistent application of project, program, and portfolio management best practices

Drive accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery across all initiatives
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with business and IT leaders to define, prioritize, and deliver strategic initiatives

Influence decision-making through strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence

Lead and develop portfolio management team members while fostering a high-performance culture

Build strong relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners
Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Introduce new frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance portfolio performance

Promote agile and hybrid delivery practices where appropriate

Drive continuous improvement across PMO capabilities, tools, and governance models

Provide thought leadership on portfolio optimization and resource allocation
We're seeking...
Experience & Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred)

10–12+ years of experience in IT or project/program management
-
5+ years leading portfolio management practices in a complex enterprise environment

Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional IT portfolios
Certifications & Methodologies
-
PMP certification preferred
-
ITIL or COBIT certification preferred
-
Agile/Scrum certification a plus

Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies
Technical & Domain Expertise
-
Experience managing portfolios that include SaaS, infrastructure, networking, and security initiatives

Strong understanding of portfolio, program, and project management frameworks

Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise tools

Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles
