Position Summary:  

The Sr. Manager, Identity Services & Data Protection is a key leader in the SPS Security Team, reporting to the VP, CISO.  This position has leadership responsibility to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SPS’s critical systems and data through application of Identity & Access Management and Data Protection practices.  This leader will drive strategy and implementation of practical, risk-based security controls across SPS.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop vision, set priorities, and drive execution for enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Data Protection capabilities, services, and programs.
  • Lead planning, alignment, and execution for the function globally.
  • Directly lead the team consisting of employee and contract analysts and engineers of multiple levels and provide leadership oversight for managed services partners.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top security talent and develop a high-performing team.
  • Partner closely with Product Engineering teams for Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) objectives, requirements, and solutions.
  • Interface with a wide variety of teams and partners to achieve security outcomes, focusing on risk-based controls aligned with business objectives.
  • Represent Security in mergers and acquisitions activities and drive IAM and Data Protection diligence and integration activities.
  • Develop and maintain deep and broad knowledge of best practices, vendors, and industry trends.
  • Develop and nurture relationships across the company as needed to influence team strategy and support execution of security priorities.
  • Contribute to development of overall SPS Security strategy and outcomes as a member of the Security leadership team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead across technology leveraging influencing skills and to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences and levels.
  • Proven staff management skills in global settings

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Risk Management, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of various authentication methods and protocols (e.g., multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, SAML, OpenID Connect)
  • Understanding of authorization concepts and frameworks (e.g., RBAC, ABAC)
  • Experience with identity federation and identity as a service (IDaaS) platforms
  • Experience with Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) best practices and solutions
  • Understanding of private, public, and hybrid cloud operations
  • Working knowledge of Agile operating principles and processes
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM
