Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Upstream Marketing is responsible for leading the upstream portfolio and innovation strategy for the $1.1B Restorative & Prevention business within the dental market. This role will lead a high-performing team to translate insights into a portfolio roadmap aligned with the most strategic growth opportunities based on clinical needs, market potential, and innovation readiness. This role will work in a highly collaborative way with cross-functional partners to institute a results-driven culture, empowering the team to feel a sense of ownership over the portfolio and pride in driving growth to deliver both the operating and strategic plans with a vision for attaining market leadership in Restorative & Prevention.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  • Define the strategic roadmap of the portfolio across the key regions with a high focus on medium-and long-term growth opportunities
  • Shape build, buy, partner recommendations based on market need and innovation strategies to position for market leadership
  • Champion development of new products working with cross-functional teams from concept to launch – ensuring voice of customer is captured throughout the innovation process
  • Shape compelling, evidence-based value propositions, product positioning and business cases, including financial modelling for all new products, clinical and regulatory pathways in collaboration with Clinical Affairs and Regulatory
  • Manage the pipeline of new products, the budget, and contribution to business vitality index
  • Lead, develop, and align new product core teams to capture customer needs and competitive insights, and implement a new process and governance structure to deliver them
  • Lead global front-end innovation efforts to explore market adjacencies and white space opportunities for growth
  • Serve as a senior leader on the R&P leadership team, playing a key role in the long-term success and health of the business
  • Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team and future leaders

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) an accredited institution and ten (10) years of experience in driving new product innovation in the healthcare industry

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Demonstrated success building innovation pipelines and launching new products successfully
  • Strong financial acumen in business case development
  • Strong problem-solving orientation with ability to leverage both quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive decision-making
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership through to field level representatives
  • Deep understanding of the releva
