About the role
Leads large team of experienced Commodity / Account Management & Strategic Sourcing professionals or team leaders, overseeing execution of key elements of supply chain strategy. Develops supplier standards and networks in support of organization's standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply. Establishes strategy for supplier selection and negotiations.

Job Description
- Lead category management activities for Electromechanical spend (focus on control boxes)
- Establishes elements of commodity / account management and strategic sourcing plans.
- Develops supply chain standards and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc.
- Approves the selection of suppliers to meet the organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
- Establishes strategy for negotiating awards contracts, specifying spending limits and qualified sources of supply.
- Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs.
- Reviews and recommends supply markets to source for the best practices.
- Directs negotiations with suppliers, and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices, and to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of experience with Direct Materials Strategic Sourcing
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience in category management, specifically with components such as sensors and switches, power components, control boxes.
- Demonstrated success in global strategic sourcing, supplier development, and long-term contract negotiations within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and market benchmarking.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, quality, and finance.
- Experience managing global supplier networks, including capacity planning, risk mitigation, and production footprint optimization.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle) and strong knowledge of supply chain best practices, including supplier performance management and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred).
