CORE SUMMARY

The Sr. Manager, Business Development (H) plays a pivotal role in advancing UHealth's mission by proactively identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and growth opportunities across South Florida and beyond. The incumbent evaluates the financial impact of both internal and external initiatives, develops comprehensive financial models, and ensures seamless collaboration among various departments, including clinical, legal, and others, to align stakeholder interests. The Sr. Manager will support high-visibility projects aimed at enhancing the UHealth brand and driving sustainable growth.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS                                                                                                          

  • Sources and identifies potential collaboration partners and opportunities that align with UHealth's strategic objectives.
  • Builds and maintains high-level relationships with current and prospective partners to facilitate business growth.
  • Evaluates the financial impact of internal and external opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic expansions, and new initiatives.
  • Develops and manages detailed financial models to support decision-making processes.
  • Supports the project lifecycle, including ideation, scoping, work plan development, analysis, financial modeling, presentation development, and implementation.
  • Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among various departments, including clinical, legal, and administrative teams, to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
  • Acts as a strategic advisor, providing insights and recommendations to support organizational objectives.
  • Conducts comprehensive market analyses to identify growth strategies and potential areas of expansion over a multi-year horizon.
  • Offers strategic recommendations to drive sustainable success and enhance UHealth's competitive position.
  • Develops strategic objectives and associated metrics to monitor organizational and initiative-specific progress.
  • Prepares and presents findings to executive leadership, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Navigates ambiguity by structuring undefined business challenges into clear problem statements, leveraging both qualitative insights and quantitative analysis to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Develops and iterates strategic frameworks for evaluating initiatives with incomplete data, integrating stakeholder feedback and evolving business conditions to drive high-impact solutions.
  • 1Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policies and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                         

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Organizational Development: Ability to implement strategies to improve organizational effectiveness, engagement, and manage change.
