Sr Electronics Associate (Weekend)

This job is responsible for working with the team assisting the lead and supervisors in ensuring that the repair line is running at full efficiency. They must also have the ability to fill in and complete some to the repair functions including disassembly, assembly and testing of devices using standardized test equipment and procedures, in a fast-paced production environment where you are performing a variety of repetitive to non-repetitive production operations.
This is an onsite role in our Lewisville TX facility with a schedule of Friday - Sunday, 6AM - 6:30PM.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
- Provide coverage for operators as needed and perform repair functions such as disassembly, assembly, and testing of devices using standardized test equipment, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Monitor any line performance/hourly concerns including takt time that may impact on the existing and incoming shift and follow up with the supervisor.
- Partner with the lead and supervisor to ensure that End of Shift (EOS) downtime has been addressed and resolved.
- Update the daily shift plan boards and pitch charts.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain 5S standards, identifying any damaged components or issues with tools and workstations. Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to review and address findings.
- Conduct cycle counts of repair core Work-In-Progress (WIP) on the production line, identifying and documenting any standard WIP violations.
- Collaborate with the team leads to assign station placements based on associates’ qualifications outlined in the skills matrix and their current availability and to meet production plan.
- Cosmetically visually inspect devise against pre-determined standards.
- Document and communicate pass-down notes, previous shift performance metrics, and the current day's repair plan. Coordinate SOS station assignments, complete TPM’s activities, review any process deviations, track ongoing A3 initiatives, share process updates, and support lead stretching exercises to ensure operational continuity and improvement.
- Provide targeted retraining to associates in response to LPA observations, deviations from Standard Work, quality issues, or cycle time imbalances to ensure compliance and maintain operational efficiency.
- Partner with the lead and supervisor to drive PDCA-based continuous improvement through Kaizen activities, ensuring active A3 reports are regularly updated, and progress is communicated effectively.
- Capture a photo of the Pitch Chart and upload it to the designated SharePoint site to ensure proper record retention and accessibility.
- Physically move material as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement and team building activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills; must be able to enter data.
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain 6S standards.
- Ability to operate automated equipment.
- Ability to reach and maintain unit per handset (UPH) requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
- Apple repair certification

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work overtime and on Saturdays as needed

Pay Range:
$ 16,95 - $ 27,12Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
