Job Summary

The Product Platform Team is responsible for building industry "best-in-class" platforms for Enterprise Storage and AI. We are responsible for delivering a set of shared platforms and services that innovate to power the storage and data management needs of Fortune 500 companies spanning enterprise and cloud deployments. Additionally, the platform team provides differentiated value by providing Storage Services   to power the data. The foundational technologies under the Platform team - ONTAP, BlueXP, VSA, AIQ, Common Design Frameworks - form the building blocks that power current and future products and solutions at NetApp across on-prem and Cloud.

 

We have a unique opportunity to lead and drive the AI/ML business strategy and execution for NetApp as part of our Product Platform Team   and collaborate with partner teams such as hardware, cloud, data services, solutions, GTM, product marketing, data analytics, services, channel, customer experience and corporate strategy to enable customer value across the NetApp’s product portfolio. 
Given the criticality and high growth of the modern AI/ML workloads and deep learning   use cases across existing and new customer deployments, NetApp’s Product Platform Team is looking for a Senior Director, Product Management to lead the AI/ML strategy and execution for NetApp. This role reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Platform Product and Engineering. 
This is a highly visible, cross product, cross functional strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of AI infrastructure and software platform domains along with proven expertise in product management. The Senior Director of Product will lead AI/ML product strategy at NetApp and play a critical role in shaping our customer-centric and innovative product offerings. 
Success in this role will be measured by achieving key milestones and objectives in the areas of AI infrastructure related product strategy development and customer experience enhancement.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML efforts at NetApp driving the strategy for AI/ML workloads and play a critical role in shaping our customer-centric and innovative product offerings.
• Develop modern storage platform and infrastructure vision for modern AI infrastructure, generative AI, AIaaS use cases and working hand in hand with technology partners to determine feasibility and prioritization.
• Lead the full lifecycle of product management for AI/ML product offerings from ideation to optimization of existing features.
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with business, engineering, data science, data services, cloud, solutions, GTM, Partner, Customer Experience and UX/UI teams to conceptualize and refine AI-driven product innovations.
• Grow business and rapidly stay ahead of the market and competition, getting the Product Platform ready supporting AI infrastructure deployments across enterprise and cloud.
• Must be committed to continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest developments and trends in AI and ML to ensure our product offerings remain at the forefront of industry innovation.
• Communicate complex AI/ML concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with the executive team to align product strategy with business objectives and contribute to the company's overall growth and success.
• Build strong connections with internal and external stakeholders to create and deploy portfolio, product, solution, and delivery strategies.
• Inspire confidence with internal and external stakeholders with clear communication and expertise in Market Sizing - Understands market analysis & the changing competitive landscape in the product space.
• Work with Analysts to articulate our strategy and optimize our positioning in relation to competition.

• 10+ years of experience in product management in high growth medium/large enterprise or startup environments in AI Infrastructure & software platforms with a focus on building AI/ML infrastructure products for 3~5 years.
