Job Summary
The Sr. Data Quality Analyst will drive efficiency and standardization across business segments through data quality. This role will work on a team that identifies interest areas to target for data cleanup and organization to include product data, sales order entry, customer records, and more. This role will work closely with operations teams to identify standard operating procedures and ensure data entry and consumption practices align.
The Sr. Data Quality Analyst is responsible for understanding the strategic nature of all projects. This is best accomplished through active discussions across the organization and by being curious enough to ask questions of both people and data. The ultimate goal for this position is to develop initiatives that translate insights into value for Irby.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering metrics and information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Query data directly in SQL databases or from pre-constructed datasets.
- Maintain working understanding of day-to-day processes within Irby Utilities footprint.
- Lead projects across internal departments and with functional subject matter experts to establish best practices for data entry and consumption.
- Partner closely with operations teams to maintain understanding of Irby Utilities standard operating procedures in the Eclipse ERP system.
- Report on project progress to senior leaders and insights teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- A curious nature that loves using data to expose useful information and the ability to translate data into relatable, understandable formats for all stakeholders.
- One year experience working in a sales or operations role.
- Advanced skill utilizing Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL Server.
- Proficiency in the Eclipse ERP system.
- Three to five years in the electrical distribution industry.
- Experience working with Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience working with relational databases.
