Sr Creative Writing Specialist
The HartfordAbout the role
We’re determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals – and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.
We’re looking for a passionate UX Writer to help us build inclusive, human-centered experiences for our customers. Your writing and content design will drive meaningful digital experiences that show a deep understanding and appreciation for customers’ unique lives and situations. If you love writing that demonstrates an elevated level of empathy and inclusion, that supports and inspires customers — we have a spot for you on our team!
This job can be done remotely, or in a full-time hybrid role (T, W & Th in office) based in our Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC office. Occasional travel may be required for remote employees.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

This job is all about writing in a clear and conversational style. You might have a background in copywriting, communications, journalism or design, and know how to write in a way that captures attention and communicates clearly. You’ll need to be able to translate technical and financial jargon and concepts into simple, relevant, relatable language. You should be able to apply some core UX principles and tools. And you should have good instincts on what excellent customer experiences look like. Knowledge of insurance and financial services is not essential, but you will be expected to learn about our products and unique place in the market.
