Job Description

In Visa Client Services, we use our deep expertise and thought leadership to proactively improve our clients’ success. The Global Acceptance Client Services organization was created to better meet the needs of our Acceptance clients, which includes acquirers, payment processors, Fintechs, and merchants.

The Business Strategy and Operations (BSO) team is essential for our organization's success through core functions, such as data and analytics, business operations, program management, performance management, communications, and the execution of key strategic initiatives. As an important member of the GACS team, you will provide the qualitative and quantitative tools and insights required to ensure we’re able to measure performance, identify opportunities and deliver on our strategic objectives.

 

The BSO Senior Consultant is responsible for creating performance and management dashboards, delivering qualitative and quantitative insights, and leading analytical projects for GACS. Conducting high-quality, high-impact analysis and translating findings into polished, impactful content are crucial parts of this role which includes executive communications and presentations for audiences at all levels. You’ll be part of global and cross-functional strategic work streams, providing timely and useful insights, communications, and analytical support.

 

Essential Functions

 

Produce quantitative insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client and business performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for business priorities.

Create and maintain self-service data dashboards for executive reporting. Develop and present data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate key findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders and leaders.

Perform exploratory, descriptive and prescriptive data analysis, using statistical and analytical tools and techniques. Identify and interpret data trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide insights and suggestions for improvement.

Develop clear and concise executive level communications and presentations. Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way.

Structure and solve business problems, collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business transformation initiatives (e.g., longtail enabler strategy).

Streamline processes and follow a robust development methodology focused on automation and accuracy, developing data integrity checks and balances to reduce manual intervention.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of data collecting processes, insights, and code base analytics.

Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in data analysis and visualization.

Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders in subject matters related to data analytics and AI, serve as the GACS AI ambassador and Data Steward within Visa.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in data analysis and or insight delivery with a proven record of creating business value from data.
• High level of proficiency manipulating data from a variety of sources - big data skills (Hadoop, Hive, Spark) and or SQL skills required.
