Overview
The Sr. Employee Relations Consultant is responsible for providing leadership and guidance for the Employee Relations, planning Employee Relations work process standardization and optimization, and developing and executing labor relations strategies for all MOBIS corporations in the U.S. This position will oversee all aspects of labor and union relations, including collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, grievance processes, and ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws. The role serves as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, working to foster productive relationships while protecting the company's interests.Other significant duties include Planning the third-party intervention response strategy and a negotiation strategy with union, training, coaching, and consulting Employee Relations members in MOBIS corporations in the U.S.
Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive labor relations strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives
- Advise senior leadership on labor relations matters, potential risks, and recommended courses of action
- Forecast and plan for upcoming contract negotiations, union organizing activities, and potential labor disputes
- Lead the development of contingency plans for potential work stoppages or labor disruptions
- Foster collaboration between labor relations, people & organization, and the business
- Lead a team both directly and indirectly in the Labor field
- Foster collaboration both in the US and globally (HQ) between labor relations, people & organization, and the business
- Prepares written reports, correspondence, and presentations to senior leadership as needed
Collective Bargaining & Contract Administration
- Consult and provide support for collective bargaining negotiations with union representatives for multiple bargaining units
- Prepare economic analyses and proposals for contract negotiations
- Ensure proper administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure organizational compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and other applicable labor laws
- Monitor and interpret changes in labor legislation, regulations, and case law
- Identify potential labor relations risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and terminations involving unionized employees
- Responsible for U.S. Human Resources (HR) Policy development and governance
Union Activity Management
- Develop strategies to respond to union organizing campaigns
- Train and coach managers and supervisors on effective labor relations practices
- Train and develop labor bench strength within the HR team
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement proactive measures to address areas of concern
- Guide and oversee company grievance policy and procedures
- Represent the U.S. as an expert on global calls to co-develop and partner on labor strategies as it relates to the U.S. and the company overall

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Labor Relations, Human Resources or related fields are preferred)
- At least 10 years of experience in an HR or Employee Relations role
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading a labor relations, compliance, or HR team including strategy setting
- Minimum of 5 years’ end-to-end union negotiations experience, including collective bargaining agreements
- Working knowledge of all aspects of employment law including State and Federal employment regulations
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to plan a negotiation strategy with union on collective bargaining and arbitrations.
