A Day in the Life
At Medtronic Endoscopy, we aim to improve patient outcomes by empowering every gastroenterologist across the globe with artificial intelligence and disruptive therapeutic technologies. We have an exciting opportunity to continue strengthening our product development and PLM processes with a new opening – Sr. Config Assurance Admin. This person will be part of a collaborative cross-functional team and will be responsible for PMO program management aspects connected to sustaining and innovating our product portfolio.Medtronic Endoscopy
The Endoscopy Operating Unit has created a business out of disrupting the status quo in the detection, prevention, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and chronic diseases. We’ve done this by commercializing transformational technologies that improve patient management and standards of care, while increasing access to our innovations across the globe.
In this role, you will be reporting to a PMO leader.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
- Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation.
- Prepare status reports.
- Reviews and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with applicable stakeholders, including engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations and regulatory.
- Ensures customer requirements are implemented while maintaining compliance to applicable policies, procedures, regulations and standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for document control within the R&D team.
- Ensure all design documents adhere to PLCM processes and templates.
- Provide training and guidance to the R&D team on document control best practices.
- Participate in audits as the R&D representative to demonstrate compliance with documentation standards.
- Support pDNA process including migration and any remediation efforts related to PLM system changes for the Operating Unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any issues related to document control and configuration management.
- Continuously improve document control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in configuration management, document control, OR Advanced Degree with a minimum of 2 years of listed experience
- Strong knowledge of PLCM processes and documentation standards.
- Strong knowledge of Compliance, Product Lifecycle Management, Electronic Document Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective training and guidance to team members.
- Proficiency in document management software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in Configuration Management or a related discipline.
- Experience working in an R&D environment.
