About the role

Position Description

The Sr. Compensation Analyst is responsible for performing research, analysis, and making recommendations on implementing new and improving existing compensation programs to attract and retain talent and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, understanding of compensation principles, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively and manage change within the organization.

Position Accountabilities

  • Contribute to the research, design, and administration of compensation programs.
  • Lead the annual compensation processes, including merit planning, salary structure adjustments, and incentive plan administration.
  • Analyze compensation trends, pay equity, and internal data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Uses data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends in survey data; develops dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
  • Partners with Compensation Consultant in preparation of survey submissions and gathers data from market-based compensation surveys.
  • Partners with HRIS team in the development of compensation reports and system maintenance (updating job ranges, grades, titles, EEO codes, etc.). Audits HRIS system to ensure accuracy of compensation related issues
  • Participates in compensation-related system testing, process improvements, and policy development.
  • Contribute to the implementation and administration of job architecture and career framework initiatives.
  • Maintain compensation systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provides data analytics for annual executive compensation planning and proxy.
  • Provides support for M&A related activity

This position reports to the Compensation Manager

Position Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent working experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of compensation experience.
  • Excellent quantitative skills as demonstrated through previous experience in a corporate compensation or other analytical role.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent data and analytical and critical thinking skills required and the ability to develop clear visuals to communicate analytical findings.
  • Detailed knowledge of salary survey design and analysis methodologies.
  • Understanding of incentive plan design and analysis
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations and statutes pertaining to wage and salary.
  • Ability to perform duties in an independent, effective and timely manner while demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional focus and attention to detail.
  • High level of maturity and ability to deal in confidence with sensitive and personal information.

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
