We are looking for a Sr Claims Associate - Auto (m/f/d), based in O’Fallon, MO.

 

The Impact You Will Have

The SR Claims Associate will proactively investigate, evaluate and negotiate resolution of assigned Auto Physical Damage claims in accordance with established best practices and assure claims are handled within granted autonomy limits.

 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

•  Investigate Auto Physical Damage claims.
•  Evaluate, address coverage issues and determine appropriate reserving levels.
•  Select and direct independent external service providers (e.g., Independent Adjusters, Experts)
•  Negotiate and resolve claims ensuring cost effective, service orientated solutions.
•  Ensure claims are settled in accordance with settlement guidelines.                                                 
• Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with AzC Claims procedures and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, as well as other relevant stakeholders (e.g., third party adjusters)

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Ability to learn to handle claims involving coverage and damage issues.                                     
• Ability to learn/understand claims handling process.       
• Understanding of Auto claims products, wordings, terms and conditions and coverages                  
• Solid knowledge of claim handling process from notification to settlement and recovery
• Ability to negotiate best positions for AzC and client, sometimes in contentious situations, managing conflicting priorities of various parties.      

 

The annualized base pay range for this role is $52,500 to $81,855. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package.  As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
