Job Description:

  

The Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) Specialist – Senior Level will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing business process improvements to support the mission of the IBAS program. This position requires extensive experience in evaluating current processes and recommending enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, management, and operational departments, to ensure successful integration and improvement of processes.

The Program objective encompasses the full lifecycle range of Internal Business Programs Operation and Maintenance support for DISA Internal Business Applications. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) shall include designing, developing, configuring, testing, migrating, operating/maintaining, and securing Internal Business Applications. It also encompasses supporting ongoing operations and implementing upgrades with government provided hardware and software. 

This also includes support for changes to the hosting facilities such as moving applications and databases from DISA J9 HaC to STRATUS Cloud, and Joint Warfighters Cloud Capabilities (JWCC); provide technical support for application development, migration, integration, and sustainment and provide Risk Management Framework (RMF) support. Additionally, the scope of this effort shall include providing IT Internal Application II/III Service Desk Support, Task Order Administration, Developing Updating Documentation, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development /enhancement, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), System Administration, Internal Architecture, Configuration/Attributes Management, Database Administration, Security Engineering, and System Integration across all of DISA Internal Business Application Support platforms.


What You Will Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business processes within the IBAS program and related systems.
  • Lead efforts to identify areas of improvement and efficiency in business operations, including workflow, automation, and resource allocation.
  • Develop detailed process maps, business requirements documents, and gap analysis reports.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for streamlining and improving workflows while ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and program requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement business process changes, ensuring alignment with the overall program goals.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams to ensure that process improvements align with technical solutions and stakeholder expectations.
  • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to identify and implement best practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on organizational change management, focusing on the impact of new processes on staff, stakeholders, and mission-critical operations.
  • Measure the effectiveness of implemented process improvements and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of all process improvement initiatives and provide regular status reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that process improvements are integrated into system upgrades and software development cycles.

Requirements

What We Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business process re-engineering or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior-level capacity.
  • Proven expertise in business process mapping, gap analysis, and process improvement strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other recognized process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within federal programs or large-scale government contracts, preferably in defense or intelligence environments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage large-scale process improvement initiatives.
