The Sr. Business Development Associate is a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced sales professional that has a knack for sales and a passion for the construction industry. This role will be responsible for supporting the lead producers in all aspects of the insurance brokerage process within our Commercial Construction industry vertical. Success will be based on the ability to interact and engage prospects, win new business, and meet or exceed established sales and activity goal targets – it will be difficult and rewarding!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:•Sources, identifies and researches potential clients, industries, and market segments to target new business opportunities.•Finds, builds and nurtures relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders to understand their business needs and challenges.•Assists with the development of customized proposals, presentations, and pitches to showcase the agency's services and capabilities to prospective clients.•Collaborates with team to qualify leads, manage the sales pipeline, and track progress towards revenue targets.•Stays informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities and stay ahead of the curve.•Attends industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the agency's brand and establish thought leadership.•Plans and hosts unique events for clients and prospects.•Prepares materials for introductory meetings, including research on the company, attendees, and potential opportunities.•Attends weekly team calls and provides updated activity goals set by team.•Develops marketing initiatives to drive new business (e.g., newsletters, LinkedIn posts).•Learns and develops skills as an insurance broker (P&C, benefits, etc.).•Assists with the Due Diligence process. •Other duties as assigned by the team and leadership.
Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent. •Previous related sales experience required. •Hunter mentality required. •3 to 5 years of previous construction industry/contractor experience preferred. •Demonstrated proficiency with cold-calling and cold-outreach. •Previous experience making appointments and maintaining schedules and calendars for others. •Experience with Salesforce a plus. •Compelling Communicator. •Strong work ethic and drive. •Confident and high energy.•Must have familiarity and good working knowledge of various Microsoft software applications (Excel), Agency Management Systems, and the ability to learn new software systems. •Ability to be licensed withing the first 30 days of hire date. •Willingness to learn and continue to grow as an insurance professional in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
