Job Summary

In this role, the core objective will be the design, develop and prepare commercial reporting, metrics, and detailed analysis to serve West's global business needs within a timely manner.  Interpreting and summarizing trend information to senior leadership which includes the construction and ownership of Commercial management dashboards for key sales data from multiple data sources.  This individual will also assist the global pricing team in analytics and procedures, while acting as the business liaison with West Pharma's Information Technology (D&T) partners, to convert identified business needs into actionable processes.  Additional roles are the responsibility and development of reporting tools and managing our global price guidance which reflects West' value-based pricing strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop commercial dashboards, reporting, metrics and detailed analysis by understanding stakeholder requirement and partnering with D&T and other business partners
  • Resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy in dashboard reporting from a Global BI, CRM, CPQ and other data sources as required
  • Facilitate and provide analytical support yearly for senior executive reviews
  • Develop Business Development analysis and breakdown reporting by certain company criteria, Product platform, etc.
  • Support Global Sales with specialist pricing enquiries
  • Improve relevant price and product data quality by supervising and providing the auditing guidance for the price data and administration team
  • Support development of and training for value-based pricing and simulation tools, e.g., Value estimator / Value capture simulation / Exclusivity models
  • Provide CPQ training and front-line support to Sales
  • Work collaboratively with West's D&T function to ensure ongoing support for the needs of the commercial organization
  • Provide reporting and trend analysis to the Pricing and Contract team as required
  • Manage the Annual Price Change activities
  • Support the continuous improvement of the API annual activity
  • Manage and maintain Global material pricing in line with Global Pricing Strategy
  • Management and usage of Global pricing rules for price setting and guidance
  • Support Pricing Strategy improvement projects by providing analyses and identifying opportunities at the product and customer portfolio level
  • Support Quarterly Price Variance reporting in line with Sarbanes Oxley requirements for compliance
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the department, the Strategic Business Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, or related fields or equivalent experience required

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years in data analysis, Marketing, Finance, or related functions required

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High competency within Microsoft Office, Power BI and SAP
  • Certified Pricing Professional (CPP)
  • Analytical skills, ability to attend details with accuracy, comfortable and creative in translating qualitative information into quantitative data, skill / experience in translating complex information into digestible insights.
  • Computer skills - adept at Excel with advanced functions and proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Business Acumen, understanding of how a company makes money – costs, margin, profits, overhead, depreciation, etc.
