About the role

We are currently seeking an organized and analytical Senior Analyst, Payroll who will be responsible for day-to-day in-house payroll processing and compliance tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulations. The role includes managing in-house multi-state payroll, garnishments, and tax reporting, while also ensuring the integrity of employee wage and tax data.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Payroll Processing: Manage accurate and timely processing of biweekly and weekly payroll cycles. Oversee quick pays (manual checks) from initiation to completion. Balance weekly payroll check runs and prepare weekly payroll funding.
  • Garnishment Management: Handle garnishments, including interpreting orders, creating records in HCM Cloud, and remitting payments (e.g., e-IWO, ACH for child support). Test new enhancements to the garnishment process. Manages disbursement of funds via EFT for Child Support withholdings via ACH process
  • Tax Functions: Prepare tax balance adjustments.  Reconcile weekly payroll tax funding. Process W-2 income and taxes in HCM Cloud. Coordinate and file payroll tax deposits daily, monthly, and annually. Perform internal payroll tax audits and correct variances including analyzing ADP reports. Apply for new state tax accounts and manage tax profile corrections.  Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End tax processes, ADP transmission, and tax reconciliation. Resolves IRS and State Payroll Tax Notices. Process employee relocations and assist with payroll-related government reporting. Responsible for partnership with our third-party tax service, ADP.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and payroll tax laws. Reconcile weekly, biweekly, and year-end payrolls, including W-2 issuance. Prepare quarterly Multiple Worksite Reporting and other quarterly reporting. File tax returns, as required.  Respond to audit requests. Manage the W-2 Hotline and resolve employee inquiries.
  • Process Improvement & System Testing: Participate in system update testing 5-6 times per year to ensure payroll accuracy. Continuously review and recommend payroll and payroll tax process improvements. Stay current with payroll tax regulations and attend webinars and conferences.
  • Customer Service: Respond to payroll inquiries via video, chat, phone, or email. Provide customer support for tax-related and general payroll questions via the HR Help Desk.
  • Stock Transactions:  Manages daily stock activity and validates tax withholdings are accurate and processes the W-2 income and taxes. Prepare daily tax funding, if applicable.
  • Other: Represents the Company professionally at all times. Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public. Performs other duties as necessary.
  • Training: Attend Chapter Meetings, Year-End Webinars, and ADP sponsored conferences to continue education.
  • Perform other payroll operations duties, as assigned. \

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field or equivalent
