Connect with us on the latest advanced Avionics within the Electronic Solutions Hardware Organization where we have an immediate need for a top-performing Senior Advanced Project Engineer to join our team that will innovate and create the hardware electronics – we are seeking someone who brings the right experience leading avionics-based product designs within the Anthem Avionics Environment. 

Be the leader of a team assessing and driving achievement for key Hardware development, working closely with Technical Engineers across disciplines, Project Engineers from other groups and the Program Managers.  You will partner with the technical resource managers, assist with staffing, and be the primary focal for program cost, schedule, and technical issue coordination and escalation.  You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance.

The Hardware Center-of-Excellent Engineering team includes diverse Electrical, Mechanical, and FPGA/ASIC teams and you will coordinate all of them with our Anthem customer programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning, status, execution, and escalation for a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) development and testing through certification
  • Drive clear communications between Technical leaders
  • Optimize the team through procedural improvements and automations
  • Driving Hardware/Software quotation estimate efforts and approvals
  • Facilitating various teams to solutions and agreement
  • Drive and improve project engineering practices for Hardware, Test & Software groups 
     

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Science, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant Project Engineering, Project Management or transferrable experience

WE VALUE

  • General knowledge of aerospace products and support within hardware-based projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with Hardware design, testing, certification is of value.
  • Business acumen – knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application, within Aero and the larger industry
  • Good people skills and the ability to work effectively with other engineering organizations and contract manufactures as needed
  • Being a catalyst for whole-team engagement and drive-to-completion
  • Diverse teaming and collaboration/facilitation skills
  • Trusted Advisor relationship with Customers
  • Influence others to accept new concepts, practices, deploy new approaches
  • Global workforce and virtual teaming expertise
