The Retail & Admissions Manager oversees all aspects of In-Park revenue departments with a comprehensive focus on Retail, Admissions, Rentals, Games and Guest Services. This position ensures a smooth park operation while remaining compliant with all applicable standards, policies, and regulations.

This position is responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of programs and initiatives to maximize in-park revenue across all revenue generating channels including, retail sales, admissions and rentals. Concurrently, this role also focuses on achieving and maintaining exceptional customer experience across all guest-facing services.

This position will work closely with the In-Park Revenue Director to ensure optimal performance of all revenue departments is achieved.

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

    Supervisory Duties:

    • Manage all aspects of the Admissions and Retail teams, along with any other assigned business units

    • Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Splish Splash core values

    • Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members

    • Manage and control all financial aspects of assigned departments while maximizing revenue and cost savings opportunities; maintain constant vigilance over departmental spending and budgets

    • Act as a strategic visionary to implement measures that will favorably impact process, people, and/or profit

    • Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.

    • Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all admissions & retail positions and backfill these positions when needed

    • Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.

    • Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with NY law

    • Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities

    Retail Duties:

    • Manage all aspects of Retail Department including buying, product development, strategic planning, store layout, pricing, and traveling to buying shows, as needed, in coordination with corporate Retail team

    • Ensure all Revenue areas maintain acceptable cleanliness and safety standards, as established by state and local governing agencies

    • Maintain and submit accurate inventories for Retail in coordination with Revenue Director

    • Develop working relationships with Retail vendors

    • Compare invoices with price sheets and monitor returns for credits

    • Monitor POS menus throughout park to ensure pricing and items are accurate

    • Ensure compliance with all PCI related standards, policies and procedures

    • Ensure all Revenue areas maintain sanitation, cleanliness, safety standards by applicable agencies

    Admissions Duties:

    • Delight the guests with exceptional customer service and a guest-centric approach

    • Lead customer relations efforts, including customer relations office, call center operations and replies to customer inquiries via telephone, email and other media channels

    • Interact with guests on a face-to-face basis, asking for feedback, and promptly addressing concerns.

    • Become knowledgeable of all passes, promotions, operating schedules, and planned events

    • Ensure tickets and products are setup correctly within POS and Inventory system in Workday

    • Oversee Front Gates/Admissions
