About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialty Products Project Manager to lead the successful execution of custom-engineered solutions, including thermal and acoustic panels, curtain coaters, and system upgrades. This role is pivotal in aligning cross-functional teams and customer requirements to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project scope and customer requirements at kickoff.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Validate project setup and budgets in ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle).
• Track project costs, update forecasts, and manage variances.
• Coordinate across Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Field Services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all project updates.
• Monitor timelines, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage resources, vendors, and subcontractors for on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.
• Lead post-project evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise assigned mechanical designers and support their development.
What You’ll Bring:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management in manufacturing, engineered systems, or capital equipment. Specialty industrial product experience is a plus.
• Leadership: Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Certifications: PMP certification is a plus but not required.
Technical Requirements:
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and specialty products.
• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Experienced with ERP systems and project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD platforms such as Inventor.
• Familiar with manufacturing, fabrication, and installation processes.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Travel:
• Occasional travel required (10–20%) to customer job sites, vendors, or manufacturing facilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel domestically.
