Responsible for communicating Arts & Digital Media's mission and value through video productions that showcase department events, programs, and initiatives, or outstanding faculty, staff, and alumni, and college campus communities. Includes conceptualizing, writing, coordinating, producing, shooting, and editing video.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
1) Conceptualizes, shoots, and edits videos for a variety of audiences with minimal supervision.
2) Collaborates with creative departments in Arts & Digital Media to develop and improve video concepts.
4) Translates creative and innovative concepts into finished videos for distribution to the web, radio, TV, social media, and more.
5) Coordinates and performs technical setup including lighting and audio.
6) Performs post-production activities including editing, graphics, music selection, and media conversion.
7) Aggregates and distributes video across departmental websites as well as to internal & external parties.
8) Maintains records and disseminates information through written and oral reports.
9) Shoots still photography, as needed.
Additional Job Duties
1) Provide video and audio engineering support for productions and events in ADM performance venues and studios.
2) Provide and maintain ADM video promotional content for the Make It Center.
Knowledge
* Superior craftsmanship in using photos, videos, and text to inform, entertain, and engage audiences.
* Mastery of photography and videography principles and production processes.
* Understanding of project planning and management principles.
* Familiarity with video production processes.
* Mastery of materials, processes, equipment, methods, and techniques used in the development and production of video projects.
