POSITION OVERVIEW

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is dedicated to promoting a supportive and equitable education for students with disabilities in Oklahoma. As a Specialist on the "Pathways to Partnership" grant, you will play a crucial role in our mission to ensure a successful secondary transition for Oklahoma students with disabilities. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training, support, and guidance to school district staff, empowering them to better serve and support students with disabilities during their transition from secondary education to post-secondary life.

Funding Source: This position is funded by a federal grant scheduled to end on September 29, 2028.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, secondary transition, or related field [official transcripts required upon hire];
• Five (5) years of experience in special education at the secondary level with extensive knowledge of the secondary transition process for students with disabilities in Oklahoma;
• Possession of a valid teaching certificate in Special Education;

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship;
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check;
• Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job-related travel.
